Langston's Academic Journey

Langston Wesley graduated as the first black male valedictorian in the 90-year history of Morgan Park High School in 2006.
He also earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. He was also the valedictorian of Keller Gifted Magnet Grammar School.
He went on to study at Stanford University, where he majored in art history. In his valedictorian speech, he emphasized the importance of education and writing.  He later stated that "the sword is mighty, the pen is cunning, and the covenant of belief in positive change is a step toward victory."
